This portion of the website is designed to provide baseline ImPACT™ testing before an injury. These results can then be used in the event you get a concussion. The baseline test will establish how your brain normally functions. The results will be stored on a secure server that will only be accessible by medical professionals in a HIPAA-compliant medical setting. If you would prefer to have baseline testing performed using methods other than online ImPACT™ computerized testing, please follow the link in order to contact a participating neuropsychologist. 1.Do not take this test if you believe you may currently have a concussion.
2.Test results WILL NOT be available for you to view upon completion of the test. (This is a necessary safety feature to prevent non-medical persons from attempting to evaluate and treat a concussion on their own, potentially allowing an athlete to return to competition before it is safe.)
3.Due to state medical licensing regulations, baseline testing on this site is only available to Wisconsin residents.
4. It is very important that the person taking the test is in a quiet environment that will allow them to concentrate and give their best effort.
5. In order for the baseline test to be useful in managing your concussion, it needs to be valid.Poor testing scores that are shown to be invalid by statistical analysis, will likely be disregarded by the evaluating professional, possibly lengthening the time for returning to sports participation.
